Manifesting and Finding Love During the Holidays

Manifesting and Finding Love During The Holidays

By Lawrence Dugger

The Holidays are here again and it's a wonderful time for making your dreams come true. This festive time of year is filled with peace, laughter, love, and lots of well-wishing. Its always great to spend time with our family and friends without the worries of life constantly at our door. It feels great to go on that vacation you've been planning all year or to await the arrival of loved ones we haven't seen in a long time.  Those warm comforting feelings of love make it much easier to laugh at those embarrassing childhood memories we all like to talk about so much.

There is indeed a lot of love going around during the holidays so why not take a moment to manifest our greatest wishes during this time?

Anytime is great for manifesting the things that we desire, but the holidays make things a tad bit more interesting. I personally find the Holidays to be great for manifesting because of the abundance of love all around us. There's so much love going around that you can feel it even as you're out and about amongst all the different people you come in contact with.

The key word to remember here is "love".

We all have a great capacity to express and receive love and during this time of year, its best shown in our acts of kindness for others.  One thing that diverts our attention from love is Mr. Ego. Yes, Mr. Ego is always lingering around somewhere in the back of our minds ready to jump in and ruin a good time. Mr. Ego can make that time with family and friends seem terrible. He's sure to be the one who makes those childhood memories seem like a recurring nightmare instead of something silly that can now be laughed at. The ego is the reason behind those dreadful holiday situations and you certainly don't want it around when it comes to manifesting great things because Mr. Ego's two cents don't amount to anything.

The ego does not comprehend love on any level and it feels neglected when we focus our
attention and energy on others instead of self.

This time of year is great for manifesting wishes and expressing love to others, but the ego does not understand this concept of love at all. Instead, the ego would much rather glamorize this time of year and overload the senses with wonderful sights, sounds, and smells.  We soon forget the meaning of coming together as one in love when we begin to make the holidays materialistic. We then place all of our efforts into doing things that will give us some type of self gratification. Much energy is wasted when we think this way and we do it so others will feed our already bloated ego.  The ego also creates a much worse situation. Since we then focus on ourselves and we become so wrapped up in the glitz and glamour of the holidays, we forget about those who are less fortunate than us.

Those less fortunate have the same need for love and peace that we all want and even though some of us are in great abundance of it, we seem to look over those who truly are in need. That's Mr. Ego standing in the way of love again. Oh, sure most of us have plenty enough of everything to go around but it doesn't go out to those who need it. It's funny how some of us can turn our noses up at others begging for money or food but there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with throwing the dog a few scraps of food to keep it from starving. We should all take this moment to manifest our desires, not only for us but for those who have not.  This is a great exercise to do while we spend time with our loved ones. With the abundance of love going around, our thought energy is more concentrated and much stronger than it would be individually.

Through love, let us all manifest as one voice and one mind.

It's the same as praying with a group of people when everyone is focused and on the same level of thought. We should ask, believe, and receive unselfishly from the Universe. With this in mind let us not forget to give love because giving love and acts of kindness are
what really make the holidays so special. Keep in mind to not allow the ego to creep in and distract us, but to look beyond ourselves for the benefit of those whoare less fortunate.

Finally, I hope and wish everyone good times and many blessings during the holidays. There are many people out in the world who've had their spirits crushed by many tribulations this year. They need love and support just as much as any of us so I, myself, plan to go out and do what I can to help those in need. I will do my part to spread love around this joyous time because I'm sure someone has asked for a blessing to come their way. If I can be a blessing to someone, then I'm sure we can all do our part to be a blessing to everyone.

Let's make someone's wish come true!!
