Tending to the Soul of Mother Earth From ‘Me’ Consciousness to ‘We’ Consciousness: Tools for Transitioning Times As we all emerge into a new year, ripe with promises of hope and change, many of us face an identity crisis of sorts that has left us stuck in our tracks. The question, ‘Who Am I, and what is it that I am truly here to do?’ is one that is lingering in the minds of many. Many of us have left the race to make money behind, realizing that it has not left us where we originally intended, only to be left with a gaping hole in our minds, and leaving us asking the question, ‘So what next?’ Energetically, we stand at the threshold of a great rebirth, an emergence into a new era of thinking, of being, and of doing. It is in recognizing and appreciating the power of the collective that we can begin to gain clarity in our own lives, and move from worrying about ‘me’ to focusing on the good of ‘we’. This move from ‘me’ to ‘we’ consciousness is happening on many levels of our psyche, and it is the key to moving out of stuckness and moving into a unity with the workings of the universe. There are many areas in our lives that we feel as though we need to transition, this shift from ‘me’ consciousness to ‘we’ consciousness will not only help us to shift our internal mindsets and move forward in our personal and professional lives, it will also serve a much greater purpose, the evolution of humanity and the care of the universal soul of Mother Earth that we all inhabit. Personal Relationships Shifting our personal relationships requires us to shift from focusing on what we need to get out of a relationship to focusing on the purpose that the relationship serves in the universe. In decades of past divorce has been on the rise globally. Together, we have all been focused on what we were or were not getting out of a relationship. It has been in this focus on ‘me’ that we have lost our way, it has been in this focus on ‘me’ that our relationships have lost much of their purpose, for when the relationship no longer is serving me, I need to leave. In the shift to ‘we’ consciousness, we all need to ask ourselves the questions; ‘What purpose does this relationship serve to our family?’ ‘What purpose does the relationship serve to the greater community?’ ‘What purpose does this relationship serve to humanity?’ It is when we can shift our focus to these purposes, other then solely focusing on what is serving our individual personal needs, that our personal relationship can begin to shift and we can simultaneously shift the energetic grids that surround the earth. For just as we are all energetically connected, our relationships with ourselves and with our loved ones form a web of energy that affects every other relationship on the planet. How can we find peace as a planet, if we cannot find peace within our own lives, within our own homes? It is impossible. The change starts with us, it starts on the smallest levels, it begins within. Work Our connection to our livelihood is perhaps the one that we spend the most time cultivating, other then our connection to our personal relationships. When we chase personal goals, it does not take long to realize that materialistic goals are shallow, and often leave us feeling as though we want more. When we focus on what we are getting out of our work situation, whether it be money, or security, it is easy to find jobs or careers that fall short of really satisfying us. With the evolution in human consciousness that is emerging in the next several years, we will all find ourselves looking to be part of something bigger. For some of us, this will take a surrender of our ego – moving out of the big cushy office, to work in the trenches, may be the place where we are of the greatest service. It will undoubtedly take a sacrifice for many of us, for the work that needs to be accomplished in this world will take the determined few who are fearless enough to unfalteringly keep their eyes on their dreams and walk toward them with full trust that all will be taken care of in time. This is not the time to stay within our comfort zones, instead, we are being challenged to step outside of the boxes we have been sitting in, and view the world from a higher perspective. This is a perspective that requires courage and determination to follow. Health With varying symptoms emerging lately, from depression, to lethargy, to insomnia to headaches, we are all feeling the physical pains of our emotional wounds in one way or another. As we move into a new way of living, we step away from the propensity to view all of our problems as singular illness and diseases that we suffer from and need to seek treatment or remedy for. In embracing this new consciousness, it requires that we have the courage to look deeply within all of our physical, mental and emotional symptoms for the root causes that lie within our souls. In the quest for the quick fix, we have all learned our lesson. We know there is not one miracle pill, treatment or surgery that will change everything in our lives, because until we deal with the root cause of our problems, they will continue to manifest, in different forms, but they will continue to emerge in our bodies until we finally find the courage within ourselves to face them. Indigenous Shamans view all disease as an invasion of a spiritual force within our bodies, once they are able to recognize the spiritual energy and release it, then the person they are working on will be cured. However, there was no follow up studies done in the south American tribes from which many of these teachings were taken. The person may well have been cured for the time being, but it is not to say that the ‘spirit’ didn’t resurface with another name in another way. By treating the body as a holistic unit, we recognize that in order to truly heal, we need to address our symptoms on many levels, we need to engage the conscious minds that we have been gifted, along with the powerful healing capacity of our unconscious to unlock the deeply held beliefs and wounds that are keeping us sick in the present. When we are able to affect this change within ourselves, the result is a domino effect energetically, when you are working through your stuff, it makes it even easier for me to work through my stuff, and the contagious nature of change and growth goes on and on, until we begin to see healing on a global scale that we could never achieve with medicine or surgery. Environmentalism The evidence of an emerging ‘We’ may be most easily seen in the case of our relationship with the planet. As we see the destruction that years of focusing on ‘me’ has brought, it is within all of our understandings today how we must work together to bring about massive change for the healing of our beloved Mother Earth. However, it is important to remember that it is not only through acting responsibly in regards to recycling, gas, utility usage and chemical consumption that we can affect change, but also through many of the forced changes that we, as Americans seem to be resisting lately. It is through reanalyzing our consumption, our consumption of material goods, food, media and even knowledge that we can truly effect the energy of the planet in a momentous way. Many of us have been raised with the mindset the ‘more’ is always better, and even though we may consciously act to bring more simplicity into our lives, subconsciously we mourn the loss of unlimited access to what we once had, and to the limitless pursuits that we once followed. The times that we are in today have come about in divine timing, and as we allow ourselves to let go of our old ways, brighter, stronger days will emerge, days that we are more connected to what really matters, more connected to ourselves, to our spirits and to each other. It is only through tending to our own souls with a focus on the unity that links us all together, that we can truly begin to heal the planet and tend to the soul that is greater than any one of us, the soul of Mother Earth. It through the healing of ourselves that the healing of our world will come about, the time is here, there is no turning back, are you ready to make the change? Aimee R.
